PdfCook AIPrivacy Policy

This policy explains what information the PdfCook AI Android app ("the app", "we", "us") collects, why, how long we keep it and the choices you have. If you have a question, write to us at support@pdfcookai.com.
1. The short version
- Most tools work entirely on your phone. Your files never leave your device for them.
- A few tools and the AI features need our server. Files you send there are deleted automatically, most of them within 1 hour.
- Your saved form details (name, CNIC, address and so on) stay on your phone, encrypted.
- Free plans show ads from Google AdMob. Paid plans have no ads. We never sell your data.
- You can delete your account and its data from inside the app at any time.
2. What stays on your phone
These features work offline. We never receive the files or their content:
- Merge, split, rotate, reorder, delete pages, extract pages, images to PDF, PDF to images, protect and unlock, watermark, page numbers, sign, annotate and the other offline tools
- The document scanner (camera and text recognition run on the phone)
- The Files tab, favorites, recent files, history and the Bin
- Form details you save for the AI Form Filler, stored encrypted on the phone
- Your app settings
This data is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Account information
- Guest account: created automatically without asking for any personal details. It lets the app keep your free daily uses and your server work.
- Email sign-in: your email address, used to send you a one-time login code.
- Google sign-in: your name, email address and Google account ID, received from Google.
- Your name and the date you accepted these terms, if you complete the sign-up screen.
3.2 Files you send to our server
Only when you use one of these features:

3.3 Purchases
If you buy the Pro or Max plan, Google Play handles the payment. We receive the subscription status and a purchase token from Google so we can unlock your plan. We never see your card or bank details.
3.4 Technical information
- Your IP address, request times and error details in our server logs, used for security, preventing abuse and fixing problems.
- Usage counts (for example how many free tools you used today) to apply the free limits.
- The app version, and a notification token if you allow notifications, so we can tell you when a long task has finished.
- Crash reports: if the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends us the error, the app version, the phone model and Android version, so we can fix it. Crash reports contain no files or documents.
- App integrity: Google Play Integrity tells our server whether a request comes from a real copy of the app from Google Play on a real phone. This protects the free limits from bots.
3.5 Ads
Free plans show ads from Google AdMob: an ad at the end of some tasks, and a video ad you can choose to watch for one more online use. To show and measure ads, Google may use your phone's advertising ID, IP address and device information, as described in Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/technologies/ads). In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom the app asks for your consent first. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings. Ads never see your files.
4. How long we keep it

Why some text is kept for 7 days: reading scanned pages with AI costs time and money. So that the same page is not read twice, we keep the text read from it, linked to a fingerprint of the file (not to your name). The same applies to notes made while summarising long documents and to the layout of blank forms. These copies are deleted after 7 days without use, and right away when you delete your account.

- To apply free limits and unlock your Pro or Max plan
- To show ads on free plans
- To prevent abuse, fraud and attacks on the service
- To fix errors and improve the app
- To answer you when you contact us
We do not use your files to train AI models, and we never use your files or documents for advertising.
6. Who we share it with
We share data only with the services that help us run the app, and only what they need:
- OpenAI — processes text and page images for the AI features (Summary, Chat, Form Filler, reading scanned pages and ID documents). Under OpenAI's API terms, data sent through the API is not used to train their models.
- Cloud hosting and storage providers — run our server and hold files for the short times above.
- Google — Google sign-in, Google Play billing, Play Integrity, push notifications, Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports) and AdMob (ads on free plans).
- Sentry — receives error reports from our server so we can fix problems.
- Email delivery provider — sends your one-time login codes.
- Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive and other cloud apps — only when you choose to open a file from them or save a file to them. Their own privacy policies apply.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or of PdfCook AI.
7. Where your data is processed
Our service providers may process your data in countries other than your own, including the United States. We use providers that protect data with industry-standard safeguards.
8. Security
- All communication with our server uses encrypted connections (HTTPS).
- Login tokens are stored in the Android Keystore on your phone.
- Saved form details are encrypted on your phone.
- Download links for results are private and expire.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and keep only what we need.
9. Permissions the app asks for

You can turn any permission off in your phone's settings. Features that need it will stop working until you allow it again.
10. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: Settings › Delete account. This deletes your account, your summaries, chats, uploads and server files. If you can't open the app, follow the steps at pdfcookai.com/delete-account or write to us at support@pdfcookai.com.
- Delete single items: delete any summary or chat from its history.
- Access or correct your data: write to us and we will answer within 30 days.
- Withdraw consent: stop using the online features or delete your account at any time.
Depending on where you live (for example the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have more rights, such as the right to receive a copy of your data or to complain to a data protection authority. Contact us and we will help you use them.
11. Children
PdfCook AI is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If the changes are important, we will tell you in the app.
